The Bode City Council met in regular session May 4, 2026 at 5:30PM in the council chambers. Councilmembers Fulwider, Tepner, and Mckenna were present, absent Hasfjord and McCart. Mayor Miller called the meeting to order with a motion by Fulwider, second by Tepner to approve the agenda as posted. All ayes, motion carried. A motion was made Tepner, second by McKenna  to approve the minutes from the previous meeting(s) all ayes, motion carried.

Mayor Miller informed the council that Zander will by mowing and picking up regular garbage during Dereks absence. Mayor Miller will contact Todd McMahon for dumpsters until Derek returns.

The Bode apartments had requested dumpsters at the complexes. A motion was made by Tepner, second by McKenna to keep single bags for the residents to determine what is placed for disposal. All ayes, motion carried.

A motion was made by Tepner, second by Fulwider to approve Mosquito Control of Iowa for the upcoming season for a cost of $1820. All ayes, motion carried.

Nuisance properties were discussed; this item was tabled.

Lagoon access for Tree Service Companies was discussed.

Venmo payments for the future items ordered online were discussed. The Mayor and City Clerk will have access to this, following discussion a motion was made by Fulwider, second by Tepner to approve this. All ayes, motion carried.

A motion was made by Fulwider, second by McKenna to approve the Bode Community Center rules and regulations. All ayes, motion carried.

The next meeting is set for June 1st.
